"what we move is who we are"

The NOPB can move any commodity, however typically we transport certain products more than others.  The links to the right highlight these commodities and how NOPB plays a role in their transport.  Note that NOPB is always is looking to add additional cargoes to our repertoire. 

We would like to break into niche markets where products typically do not move by rail. For example, commodities that are supersacked, stripping of container cargo and loading into boxcars for movement inland, palletized steel coils, etc.  These are all areas where NOPB is selling aggressively to build our market share.  

We are happy with the products we currently handle, but are always looking to grow.  Finding that new 'steel' or 'rubber' and continuing to search for more opportunities is the only way we know how to operate.  We are fully prepared to provide unique solutions for customers.  Improving our service offering based on the special requirements of certain cargoes is the key to growth.  As our cargo knowledge-base improves, our service does as well.  It's that simple.  At the NOPB what we move is who we are.  This will be ever-changing as we continue to grow but adapting and improving what we are able to offer in terms of service is truly the key to our success.
